Salmaan Khan walks the ramp for family unity

B-town biggies and their siblings landed on the capital, New Delhi on sunday at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week to walk the ramp for the designer Sanjana Jon’s show dedicated to family unity.




Jon is the sister of convicted celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon, serving a life term in U.S. for sexual crimes.Jon expressed her feelings during the show when she said,""This is India. You all stand together as brothers and sisters…that's the statement we are making. It's about unity." Anand Jon,fashion designer, who has worked for celebrities from Paris Hilton to Janet Jackson was sentenced 59 years of imprisonment for sexual charges pressed against him.He has been convicted for sexually assaulting aspiring models as young as 14.Jon assured that her brother is innocent.She qouted," "We are talking to lawyers but we also need the government's help….I know my brother is innocent and God will decide what happens,"


Salmaan Khan who walked the ramp alongside brother Sohail Khan said it was a "tribute" to her brother.The Sexy Salmaan was seen sporting a plain black shirt and a wide belt creating a near riot situation among the 150 fans who were begging for more after the show.A female journalist who got caught up in the stampede had to be rescued by Salmaan Khan's bodyguards.As a consequence the post show conference had to be cancelled.One of the many fans present there was heard saying."I wish he’d remove his shirt,”

Among other stars who glamourised the show were music composers and brothers Sajid and Wajid Ali, classical instrumentalists Amaan and Ayaan Ali and actors and sisters Riya and Raima Sen.

Ritu Beri makes a comeback

In a show sponsored by Chivas, Ritu Beri, an ace Indian Fashion designer, made a grand comeback. She was showcasing her designs after a long time. Ritu Beri’s neat, flattering collection on display at the Wills Lifestlye India Fashion Week (WIFW) stole the limelight from Bollywood actor Abhay Deol.




Dressed in a pair of jeans, crisp shirt paired with a black waistcoat and black hat, Abhay looked his handsome best. Female fans were completely floored when he smiled, flaunting his dimples.

But Beri’s well-cut designs, full of youthful charm, teamed up with oversized hats was beautiful, almost flawless.Abahy looked so cool, so himself, just so unaffected by anything around him, totally relaxed and adventurous.

Abhay, who earned critical appreciation for ‘Dev D’, too was excited at walking the ramp. ‘I am a great admirer of Ritu’s work, Her clothes are fashionable yet very comfortable. I quite enjoyed walking the ramp,’ he said after the show.

Beri, displayed a red embroidered bridal gown, showcased by supermodel Jesse Randhawa. Randhawa’s graceful moves, peppy background music added to the beauty of the entire show.

Indeed, what a comeback!
